OVERVIEW: Onibi is a dangerous spirit fire, known for draining life energy, and is often found in graveyards.
APPEARANCE: Blue or white balls of fire float in the darkness. They cluster together in groups of twenty or thirty. The flames burn without consuming the wood or grass they touch. They vary in size from small sparks to large melons. Some say faces appear within the flames.
BEHAVIOR: Onibi swarm around living travelers who get lost at night. They suck the vitality out of humans like parasites. The lights lead people off the path into dangerous swamps. They originate from the bodies of the dead.
INTERACTIONS: Humans avoid them at all costs. Following the lights invites death or severe illness. They are a common terror for those walking alone in the dark.
OTHER FORMS: None.
