OVERVIEW: Hyakume is a mysterious fleshy monster, known for having a hundred eyes, and is often found in old temples.
APPEARANCE: It looks like a fleshy lump the size of a human. Countless yellow eyes cover its entire body. When the eyes close, it resembles a nondescript blob. It has no discernible mouth, nose, or limbs. The eyes blink independently of each other.
BEHAVIOR: Hyakume guards old temples and holy places at night. It detaches its eyes to chase after intruders. One eye will stick to a thief for days to track them. It avoids the bright light of the sun.
INTERACTIONS: Thieves fear it as an inescapable witness. It does not physically attack but watches intently. Humans startle it if they enter its territory.
